Notes:

After market opened we got a big strong bull bar on bar 1. It closed the overnight gap right away. Bar 2 was a pretty decent follow-through bar, closing above the 20 EMA, so I entered long.

I took the first contract off at +15 pts., around 0.5R. When we pulled back I took the 2nd off at +5 pts. I was not eager to fight through a pullback.

Bar 6 was the pullback, and when bar 7 was growing into a big bull bar I entered long again—High 1 Buy. Bulls looked strong and I was aiming for big targets, but I ended up taking the 1st contract off at +20 pts. and trailed the 2nd below bars. It got stopped out for +12 pts., but I am happy with that.

I was multiplying it in the copier, so in reality I got +40 pts. on the first and +24 pts. on the 2nd. Great day so far.

Market did form a double top, but the bulls looked strong, so when we got a 2nd entry buy with a great signal bar at the EMA I took the trade, betting the bulls would get a resumption.

The market got really slow, so I took both contracts off at +5 pts. We were close to the highs and the market stalled a lot.

After this the market lost energy and started to form a small trading range. When the bulls printed bar 31, a bull breakout bar out of the range, I entered long, but we got doji follow-through so I exited at BE.

After this price got very choppy and printed lots of weak bars, so I took a dinner break. When I got back not much had changed—many small bars, low energy, and not worth trading.

The chop continued, so I decided to make a video of today’s session while I was waiting.

Nothing more happened, so I posted my video and called it a day.

Biggest Lesson:

Great start of the day, but price really slowed down a lot in the last part of the day. Again it seems the best trades are before bar 48–50. Note taken on that, and I am glad I am now free to be able to trade the whole session.
