Note:
The day started with a strong leg up, probably news-driven. When I got to the chart prices had just made a new high of that leg. It was likely to expect another leg going up to the previous day’s high, but there were no setups on the way up. Around lunchtime the market got really slow.
The market then kept pushing higher, slowly chopping higher and higher. These are by far the worst days—when there is no entry and the market just chops along in a super slow tempo.
Biggest Lesson:
Slow, choppy climbs are the perfect recipe for a FOMO entry. The real lesson is resisting the urge to jump in when there are no clean setups, even if the market keeps grinding higher.
