Losing Day - Total Net PnL: -$4,925.68
Note:
Another very slow day with a grinding uptrend. The market had low volume, which likely explains the lack of real momentum throughout the session. I took two trades today.
The first one was a second entry long (2EL). It wasn’t textbook—the body of the signal bar was a bit too far from the EMA—but the bar itself was solid, and it was a clean setup in a strong uptrend. I’d take that trade again without hesitation.
The second trade was a failed second entry short. Honestly, it wasn’t a great setup. I hesitated a lot before finally taking it, and while it didn’t tick all the boxes, I ultimately decided to go for it. There were pros and cons: the medium downtrend had an overshoot and we pushed back above the EMA, suggesting a possible retest of the highs—but we never got a new low in that downtrend, which made it questionable.
What I’m proud of today is that I’m starting to take more chances. I’m not just sitting on the sidelines overanalyzing everything. Even in a slow market like this, I’m learning to act when the structure supports it.
Biggest Lesson:
In low-volume conditions, momentum can be weak, so even decent setups may stall. Still, the act of taking trades that follow my process is a win. I'm learning to trust myself more, even when the outcome isn’t ideal.
