Note:
Today was a slow day due to the contract rollover, which brought low volume and choppy price action. Early on, the market looked like it was trending upward, but it eventually revealed itself as a range-bound session that transitioned into a weak downtrend.
I didn’t see many clean setups, but toward the end of the day, I took a Second Entry Short (2ES). It wasn’t a textbook setup, but it checked enough boxes to justify taking the trade. I’ve been working on not cherry-picking too much and making sure I stay engaged by taking at least one valid trade per day.
Biggest Lesson:
Not every trade will be picture-perfect, and that’s okay. I’m learning to find a balance between patience and execution—waiting for good context, but also trusting myself to act when a setup aligns well enough with my criteria. Staying active without overtrading is key to consistent growth.
