Daily Log - July 9, 2025

The day started with a nice, steep uptrend that looked really promising. It began to develop into a potential spike-and-channel structure, but prices soon started consolidating—suggesting the uptrend might have already played out.

Not long after, we saw a sharp reversal, possibly triggered by unexpected news. That move kicked off a downtrend, which eventually flattened into its own spike-and-channel. However, it was unclear whether this new channel would get a new low, as prices once again settled into a tight consolidation.

The overall hesitation in the market was likely due to traders waiting for the FOMC minutes later in the session.

After the release, there wasn’t much reaction, and the market transitioned into a very slow and flat uptrend. There were multiple chances to enter, but everything felt congested with limited room to the highs. That said, the EMA held consistently throughout—which, in hindsight, made some of those pullbacks valid opportunities.

Still, the easiest trades are always the ones we see in hindsight 😉
No regrets—just another reminder to stay focused and trust the structure more when things line up, even in slow markets.
