Daily Log - July 25, 2025

The overnight session had a sharp spike up followed by a spike down. After the market opened, it settled into a very tight 7-point range. Price moved up and down through the EMA for quite a while, creating a lot of chop.

There weren’t any clean setups in the early action. There was a failed breakout (FBO) that wasn’t terrible, but I skipped it due to the ongoing bullish imbalance — it didn’t feel worth the risk.

We had a breakout of the small range and a small uptrend formed. The channel broke, and I was expecting a retest of the highs. It was quite stacked with about six bars side by side, but the EMA was holding well, the short-term downtrend had played out. A decent second entry long (2EL) formed with a Tier 1 signal bar. The risk was small, so I took the trade. Went for 8 ticks — the trade worked for 9. Got a bit lucky there, but happy I took the chance.

It took about an hour for price action to grind up and reach a new high, chopping in a small range on the way. After making the new high, price continued upward and broke the Overnight High. It started forming a potential wider uptrend, which later got confirmed.

There was a nice higher low (HL) that confirmed a second entry long (2EL), but I stayed out. The uptrend was possibly overshooting, and since I was already green on the day, I didn’t want to risk going red late in the session. I ended the day a bit early — it’s Friday, I’m green, and the market typically slows down toward the close anyway.
