Daily Log - July 11, 2025

The day started with two legs down in the overnight session. However, prices failed to break through the overnight low, and we saw a reversal into what eventually developed into a trading range. The range showed signs of bearish imbalance, as price struggled to return to the overnight lows and instead settled into a sideways chop inside a 17-point range.

It wasn’t easy to make sense of the price action in real-time—it felt messy and directionless. But looking back at the 10K tick chart in hindsight, the structure made a lot more sense. It’s just one of those days where the bigger picture becomes clearer after the fact.

For a long time, price gave the impression we were simply stuck inside a range. But toward the end of the session, the bullish imbalance became more apparent. It started to look like we had actually been in a very broad and weak uptrend stretching all the way from the market open. That channel eventually attempted a breakout to a new high, pushing above the range—but it didn’t quite succeed in reaching a clear new extreme.

All in all, a pretty uneventful and indecisive day. I’m ending the week green—but that’s mostly because I only took one trade. It’s just been difficult to trust the price action and market structure the past few days.
