Note:
Overnight formed a trading range between ONH and ONL. Price then broke below ONL and developed a downtrend. I didn’t see a clean way to get in. As price kept pushing lower, I widened the downtrend channel. A few aggressive setups showed up, but I skipped them. A nice 2ES popped up unexpectedly and it surprised me — I missed it.
Into the late session, the market slowed down a lot and kept grinding lower even after the larger channel broke and a new low printed. It was hard to stay focused with the slow, choppy drift down, so I took an extra break to reset.
At least price action felt healthier and the context was pretty easy to read. A few more setups per day would be nice — fingers crossed for the weeks ahead.
Biggest Lesson:
Trading demands mental sharpness. With 8 hours at work and then 4–6 hours on the charts, I need to protect sleep and stay focused—take intentional breaks, manage energy.
