Note:
The day started with an overnight spike down, then price rallied into an uptrend with a few nice entries. I hadn’t started trading yet, and by the time I got to the chart the uptrend channel looked to be playing out near the ONH. Price then rolled over and trended lower — I didn’t see any entries I wanted there. After that downtrend played out, price started working back up.
Through the afternoon, price kept crawling upward with very slow follow-through. Into the close it got quite choppy. A second entry long (2EL) formed that looked pretty good and I liked it, but there was no tick back to fill my limit order, so I missed the trade.
Biggest Lesson:
Even late in the session, quality setups can show up — worth waiting for. I didn’t get filled on the 2EL today, and it’s been a while since I’ve taken (and won) a trade, but I’m staying patient and confident in my read.
