Failed Second Entry Short (F2ES) - Retest - Loss

I took a failed second entry short setup today. The broader structure showed a break of the large uptrend, and we had a medium downtrend with an overshoot. After that, prices pushed back above the EMA, which made me think we might get a retest of the highs.

One concern, though, was that the medium downtrend never made a new low before reversing—definitely a negative factor and something to keep in mind. This wasn’t a perfect setup, and I went back and forth on whether to take it or not. In the end, I decided to go for it.

I know I tend to hesitate too much sometimes, even on solid setups. This time, I pushed through that hesitation. Whether it works out or not, that willingness to act when the conditions are there is what I need to keep developing. Just got to keep trusting the process and stop second-guessing the setups that actually align with the strategy.
