Notes:

When I got to the chart, there was a weird triangle shape and I didn’t really know how to read it at the start. Then we got a bull breakout and a second entry buy right at the EMA. The signal bar was big, but I took a chance with 1 contract, aiming for 15 points. The bulls got good follow-through, so I added another contract when we got another higher low.

Both contracts hit their 15-point targets. I was trying to trail the last contract, but I got scared when the bars got smaller, so I exited. If I had trailed below the previous bar, I would have gotten around 30 points on that last contract. Holding trades for bigger targets without letting emotions take over is still hard, but I feel less stressed each time — so there are signs of improvement.

After this, the market went into a super tiny range again, just like yesterday. When we finally got a breakout to the downside, I took the bullish bar as an FBO and a possible final bull flag. It turned out to be a bit too early — the bears needed another leg down. I added another contract on the next bull bar, which was a nice bullish reversal bar. I got 5 pts. on the original entry, and I went for 10 pts. on the second, with the target just at the top of the range.

Prices then broke the top of the range and made yet another bull leg up — the bulls were killing it today. Overall a very nice trading day. I started off with that weird triangle, but after the breakout we got a clean uptrend, and I even managed to get a decent trade out of that tiny range at the end.

Biggest Lesson:

Good days highlight the importance of staying patient for the right context. When the market lines up cleanly, the trades almost take care of themselves — I just have to let them play out.
