Daily Log – November 18, 2025
When I got to the chart, there was a strong bearish leg working its way down. Prices then formed a two-legged bull correction, and we got a Second Entry Sell setup — I took it. My initial plan was to go for 15 points down to the previous low, but prices stalled for a long time and showed a lot of rejection at those lows. Since it wasn’t following through cleanly, I took only 10 points. The trade eventually did make a new low before the market reversed sharply up.
I was not expecting such a strong reversal from the bulls, so I wasn’t prepared to go long. There was also an overnight gap above that the bulls would likely try to close.
After the strong reversal, price broke above the range high and we got a breakout pullback, so I took it. It looked like the bulls were trying to go up and close the overnight gap, but the market stalled again and formed three dojis. I exited with a 10-point profit instead of the 25 points I was aiming for.
After that, prices just chopped sideways in a very tight range with a slight bullish imbalance, but there were no clean stop-order setups for me. The range became more neutral and kept going all the way into the close. Most of the trades in that structure would have required limit-order entries, and I haven’t begun doing those yet.
Biggest Lesson:
Even though the ATR was very high today, it was still hard to find good swing entries that had real follow-through. Big bars don’t always mean big moves — context and structure still matter more than volatility.
